Random things...

I like to buy things for Leah in advance so that if she needs something, we won't be scrambling around trying to find what she needs or so we won't have to worry about if we can afford it then or not. And one of my favorite things to get her in advance is clothes! And since this is Utah and the weather is so unpredictable, we've been buying her clothes for the colder weather for a few months now a little bit at a time ( I'm so happy that stores start putting that stuff out earlier now or that you can find it online for cheap out of the season) So we pretty much have her whole wardrobe for fall and winter. All we need now is a few pairs of boots and a couple of coats and we're set! Gotta love great deals.

We even got her Christmas dress for about 30% off at Carter's

Love it! Red looks so good on her.

Okay, so yesterday I really wasn't having a good day. The night before I hardly got any sleep at all. And yesterday we had so much stuff to get done, and right in the middle of the afternoon it hit me like a ton of bricks, I got the worst migraine ever! We had an appointment to get Leah's pictures taken and dinner plans with my sister in law and brother in law. We've been meaning to get her pictures done for a while and then last time we attempted to to get them done all hell broke loose and Leah was not having it. So I refused to cancel the pictures, so we all suffered through it.
But Leah did so good! The ladies there said they couldn't get over how beautiful and friendly she was(sorry I had to brag)

That just plum tuckered my poor Leah, out and my splitting migraine was still ever present. So we had to cancel our dinner plans and couldn't do the rest of the stuff we had planned. I wouldn't have made good company in that condition anyway.

So we went home and Leah was out for the rest of the night, and I fell asleep as well. I woke up later that night to some noise coming from the kitchen. I go into the kitchen and I see this

My sweet hubby snuck out to the store and got me a card and flowers, and cooked dinner for us. Those of you who know him know that he really doesn't like to cook. But he did a good job anyway. I didn't take a picture of the food cause we ate it before we could. But it was penne pasta with broccoli and a Parmesan sauce. He made it from scratch! Other then the penne itself nothing came from a jar or box! I love him! Thanks babe for making me feel so much better and loved. Love you!

New pics of Leah...

I was just looking through some of my photos of Leah and decided I will post a few of my recent favorites of my baby and show you her cute and so silly faces she makes. She's very expressive. So, here they are!

Adios mi familia

Well my family boarded a plane to their homeland yesterday morning, and I'm beyond sad. I absolutely loved being able to spend time with them, and we got to know each other much better. I really loved going to the nightly family dinners and seeing our HUGE family laughing and conversing. I miss them already! I was so happy that most of my family was able to meet Leah for the very first time. She took to my Aunts and Grandparents so quickly! And they were so sweet and brought her some super cute outfits and were so concerned when she got sick. They adored her, and she, them. My cousin Hugo and my Aunt Tammy kept saying how beautiful she was and fought over who was going to hold her the whole time they were here. And when I was home sick for my hubby and my baby while I was in Vegas, Hugo and my Aunt Angelice (his mom) would hug me and tell me it was ok. Especially after Chris got in the car wreck. I remember bawling on the bathroom floor after I found out about the wreck, so happy that he was ok, but so shocked and scared ( and regretfully, angry at Chris)because he could have so easily been seriously hurt or worse, and Hugo, Angelice and my Uncle hector came in to comfort me and calm me down. On a much brighter side of their stay, my six cousins (all around my age) and I had so much fun together. I was so happy to see how their visit brought my dad so much joy. I will definately cherish those memories. I only hope that it won't be as long as a wait as it was last time, to see them again. My cousin Serg, said that he'll burn a copy of more pictures because he had some good ones and a lot more than I do so I'll post some more when I get them.

The Park, Discovery Gateway, and ice cream!

This has been such a crazy few weeks! Chris went on vacation from his job for a a short week, but unfortunatly, due to Leah's illness, we couldn't do much. We wanted to travel a bit but that's just going to have to wait for a while. She loved having her daddy around 24/7,and was so sad when he had to go back to work this week. However, we were able to get out and go to a few different parks(Leah needed some fresh air and we needed to get out)and went to the Discovery Gateway. She loved the "Garden" area with all the colorful plastic balls and didn't want to leave that particular area. She liked the play area for the babies, but got sick of that and wanted to visit the Garden again. So we did. And she had so much fun! We're going to save up for a membership there when she gets a little older and can enjoy it more. And then on the way home from the park on Thursday we stopped off and got ice cream. Leah is truly her mommys baby, she loves the stuff! It really lifted her spirits taking her to the park and letting her run around and scare the poor ducks away. Not to mention the yummy ice cream. It can do wonders for just about anyones mood. I'm so glad she's doing much better now!
