We had a great Christmas! Crazy at times but great non the less. Chris' mom came in from California and we met up on Christmas Eve for dinner at IHOP. And it was fun. Leah had such a fun time and that made my night! She was glued to her grandma. It was cute.
Chris and I went to bed around 2 am that night, and I woke up at 5 and could not go back to sleep. But I decided to be nice and not wake Chris up until 7 unless Leah woke up before then. Well, my girl decided she'd rather sleep. So I woke Chris up, put our casserole in the oven, and we opened our gifts to each other. I really loved that we got to spend that time together!
We eventually had to wake Leah up, and an was she excited that Santa came! I love her face and big eyes that were so surprised! She said " Santa came, Santa came!" She sat down to open her gifts but then stood back up and asked " did Santa eat his cookies all gone?!" It was so cute!
She was absolutely spoiled! Not necessarily by us. My mom and dad and aunt Sharon and cousin Jason got her some pretty amazing gifts! Her favorites so far are the ladybug pillow pet that Santa brought her that she's been dying for , the jewelry/music box we got her, her alpha robot and ixl from us, her prayer doll from aunt Sharon, her fur real pet dog from Jason, her Tangled dress up clothes and outfit grandma & grandpa got her ( she actually hugged the clothes and said " oh I just love it!") And that's just from part of my side of the family!
Chris' mom then decided to come over and open gifts. She got leah an Angelina ballerina doll house, little toys to go with it, a shirt from Hawaii, coloring supplies, and she was sooo happy! Leah loves anything and everything to do with coloring/drawing . She gave me an awesome Stila eyeshadow pallete and gift card to Michaels! Chris got a gift card to Gamestop. He was thrilled! It was so nice of her. We then headed out to Kim and Brandon's to see them and exchange gifts. Leah got such neat gifts! We did too! She got an adorable plush monkey, a crayon roll case with crayons and a coloring book and an awesome lite brite! They are much better designed these days than when I had one! Hers is a cute pink and is battery operated! Love it! They also got Lilly the cutest little outfit! We had so much fun over there. It was great. Then it was time to say goodbye to Ruth, zach, and Becky, because they had to get back to California. We had to get going as well.
We headed back home to put the ham in the oven for dinner with my family and my aunt and two cousins. Dinner was ridiculously delicious! We had baked ham with my moms special glaze, turkey, potatoes, sweet potatoe casserole, stuffing, and lots if goodies. My sis got leah a gorgeous fiber optic butterfly night light that she just loves! And she got Lilly a bath lotion set and cute burp cloths. We were having a great time... until at around 9:30 my aunts keys got Locked in her car while it was running. They tried everything, other than breaking the window to get it opened, and no luck. My aunt decided to call a locksmith and pay the outrageous fee. Finally at about 1:30 am the gut came and in 3 min it was opened. My poor aunt! At least she gets reimbursed for it! But it was terrible.

Other than that horrible incident, we had a great Christmas! We got to spend the day all of our loved ones and it makes me realize how blessed we are to have all of them in our lives! Gifts are good and fun and good and fun to give, but it's having those people around that make the holiday season wonderful. I loved it, and Leah got to see all her family in one day. We are blessed for sure!
